Jackie Griggs CNM

Jackie is a Certified Nurse-Midwife with a Masters degree in nursing who has delivered over 2,500 babies, yet can still recall each as an “honored, unique event.” She has always worked in women’s health since receiving her first nursing degree in 1979.

Jackie’s experience includes working in several different settings: homes, birth centers, clinics, and hospital care. She attended the University of Texas in Galveston (UTMB) to receive her Masters degree as an Advanced Practice Nurse in 2001 and continued to help women at home and birth centers since that time.

"I’m the mom of five sons, all grown. Three were born at home with the assistance of midwives. I’m from Amarillo, TX, and my husband, George and I have been married for 47 years. .We have 2 small grandchildren, who bring a lot of light to our life. Even after all these years, I still love being a midwife. My hobbies are reading- especially about history, writing, and walking."  -Jackie
