Cost of Midwifery and Birth Care

Midwifery care is good healthcare, at a reasonable cost, for low risk women.
We want you to know what to expect before you sign on. Our fee is:

$6,000

  • All prenatal visits

  • Labor and birth care, including birth tub for pain relief in labor

  • 24 hour access to midwifery care, especially between 36 and 42 weeks

  • 6 weeks of postpartum care, which includes a 2-day home visit and office visits at 2 and 6 weeks

  • Facility fee for the birth center 

  • Basic prenatal lab work

  • Filing birth certificate and social security card application

  • Breastfeeding assistance 

  • Large lending library of books and videos

  • Referral to MD care when needed

  • Access to any mothers groups associated with the birth center

THE FEE INCLUDES:

We do not file your insurance for you. A superbill can be provided for insurance submission, if needed. 

We offer a 10% discount if this is not your first baby. Payment plans are available.
Extra fees:

  • 20 week anatomy scan with our referring doctor ($150-$200)

  • Newborn screens (2 recommended at $85 each)

  • Rhogam if mom is Rh negative

  • IV antibiotics, if indicated

Some extra fees, like ultrasounds and lab work, are covered by most insurance plans. ​
